Temporary access to a computer or internet connection can begin with a library request. Maricopa County Library District offers Chromebook To-Go and Hotspot To-Go devices for three-week loans. Goodyear users can start with the district’s catalogue or ask at Georgia T. Lord Library about availability and the borrowing process.
The district requires borrowers to be at least eighteen and have an account in good standing. A customer may borrow one hotspot and one Chromebook at a time. Requested devices must be collected in person by the cardholder who placed the request, with a short librarian tutorial and a signed borrowing agreement; curbside pickup is excluded.

Return arrangements matter as much as collection. Devices must go back inside the library, not into a book drop. The district says unreturned equipment can have service disabled and replacement fees charged. Read the agreement and ask staff about any task-specific limitations before depending on a device for an important deadline.
Have a simple plan for what you need to accomplish during the loan. Bring questions about connecting, using web-based tools and keeping personal accounts secure to the tutorial. Set a return reminder before leaving the desk. Borrowed connectivity can support a practical project when the technology, availability and loan window fit the task.
